Thought this was worth telling the world about this (don't worry, I'm not deluding myself into thinking that 'the world' actually reads my blog). You might find this interesting, cause it'll save you some moo-la, in case you're considering drinking the Windows Vista cool aid.

What should I blog about?
I'm having a hard time thinking of what to blog about today. Some thoughts were:
- Do that meme thing from Jenn ... naw, a little too brain power intensive for me.
- Talk about being a programmer ... meh, a little to dry and boring for all of you readers out there in reader land (all one or two of you)
- Talk about my Titanium Spork ... well, no need to talk about it, go see for yourself!
- Finally I found a funny little flash video that all of you parents out there will love to show your kids! I guarantee it's 100% clean content.
Credit for the video goes out to the URL: http://invasioncreations.com/Flash/Noodles.htm

Woohoo, I figured it out!
I've been trying for the longest time to get a del.icio.us and digg icon to show at the bottom of each post so you, the reader, can choose to bookmark that post with del.icio.us or digg it on Digg.
Anyway, I finally figured it out! Had to learn how blogger's fancy template works then had to plug it in, in the right place.
If you're curious how it's done, let me know.

Workrave - Help Prevent RSI at Work
RSI? What is RSI, well I asked my wife who is a medical professional. It stands for Repetitive Strain Injury, Thanks Jenn. Anyway, this is a coo little app available for Windows and Linux that helps encourage you to sit back and stretch or rest you hands and eyes at regular intervals while at you desk at work. Great for all the code monkeys out there like me!
I have to give the credit to one of my favorite sites LifeHacker.com for finding this first.

MSMQ For You .NET Programmer Types
I was researching MSMQ today and found a couple very good articles on codeproject.com by the author Manoj G. I've linked his name there to his article listing.
The articles I read were:
Programming MSMQ in .NET - Part 1
and
Programming MSMQ in .NET - Part 2: Transactional Messaging
The first article is a good overview of what MSMQ is and why you would use it. The second article is even more important to read if your applications need some more fail-safe programming in them.
I read one more that expanded a little more on MSMQ but it requires some knowledge of COM controls (ActiveX). The article was:

HOWTO: Getting rid of badly ripped songs from your iPod
So I was listening to my iPod on shuffle and came across a song that was cut off. I thought oh I'll just write down the name and take the paper home and delete it later. I'm sure you've run across this before. Maybe you were smarter and emailed yourself the name and artist of the song?
Well I have what I think is a better idea to track these songs and get rid of them later.
Some of you may know this about your iPod but if you're browsing through songs, playlists, artists, or albums you can press and hold the middle button and it will add the selected item to the "On the Go" playlist. I'm sure you see where this is going. Do this on the song that is cut off, this stores it quick and easy and next time you sync your iPod the "On the Go" playlist will show up on iTunes. You then just find each of the songs in your library and delete them then re-rip the songs to fix them. It just dawned on me that you could even just rate the songs with a chosen number of stars (I'd think 1) and delete them that way.
Anyway, my 2 cents.

More on the iPhone
Though this blog is supposed to be Miscellaneous, it's turning into an Apple or more importantly iPhone blog.
Maybe just a couple more days of this, until everyone settles into their comfy chairs to await the release of the iPhone. In my case, I'll probably have to wait even longer as I'm in Canada and the iPhone probably won't be released for numerous months after the US release.
Will there be an unlocked version? I sure hope so. If not right away, will the hackers of the world be able to unlock a locked phone. In due time I tell myself, in due time.
Anyway, the title link of this entry is to a YouTube video from the news about the iPhone. Well done and lots of good shots of the phone itself.

It's a site with a bunch of images showing what 200 calories looks like in many different foods.

You're Probably Wondering ...
You're probably wondering the name thebrisingr means? Well I'm currently reading a book, I'm sure you'll recognize the title, Eragon, by Christopher Paolini. A movie version has recently been released. Well, I'm really enjoying the book, haven't seen the movie yet. Not sure if I'll bother since books are better than the movies 99% of the time. Anyway, the word brisingr was made up by the author and it means fire. I just thought it was cool and that few people would know what I'm talking about. I like to try to be unique but am not creative enough to come up with my own words.
Anyway, this blog's purpose is to be a place where I post absolutely anything. Programming tid-bits that I find on the net, funny or informational videos found on one of the many sites out there. Or even stuff about family and friends.
Goodbye for now.
