Children are a blank slate and everyone they meet and everything they see and hear makes a mark on that slate.
If you show a 2 year old a bunny and tell him that a bunny says "cluck, cluck", that child has no idea that what you've taught them is wrong.
I wish more parents would realize this so they could spend all of their energy trying to mold their children's minds with positive experiences and lessons.
Ian made a comment the other day when we were talking to another couple..."I wish more parents would realize that they're not raising a child, they're raising an adult. When they move out you want them to have turned into an intelligent human being who contributes their best to society. Then and only then will you know you've done a good job".
